By accessing or using Squore ("the Platform," "we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Platform.
These Terms apply to all users of the Platform, including without limitation users who are browsers, players, game hosts, and contributors of content.
2. Eligibility
To use Squore, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age (or 21 in jurisdictions where required)
- Be located in a jurisdiction where participation in squares pools is legal
- Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
- Not be prohibited from using the Platform under applicable laws
Important: It is your responsibility to ensure that participating in squares pools is legal in your jurisdiction. We do not provide legal advice and cannot guarantee the legality of our services in your area.
3. Account Registration
To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information
- Maintain the security of your password and account
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Platform Services
Squore provides a platform for users to:
- Create and join NFL and NBA squares pools
- Select squares on a 10x10 grid
- View live scores and game updates
- Communicate with other players via in-game chat
- Process payments through integrated payment providers (e.g., Venmo)
5. Free Games vs. Paid Games
Free Games: Supported by advertisements. No real money is exchanged. These games are for entertainment purposes only.
Paid Games: Involve real money transactions between players. Squore facilitates these transactions but is not responsible for disputes between players. A platform fee may apply to paid games.
Platform Fee: Squore charges a 10% platform fee on paid game pools to cover operational costs, payment processing, and platform maintenance.
6. Payments and Payouts
For paid games:
- All payments are processed through Venmo or other approved payment providers
- Players are responsible for ensuring their payment information is accurate
- Payouts are processed automatically when winners are determined
- We are not responsible for delays caused by third-party payment processors
- Refunds are at the sole discretion of game hosts and Squore
7. User Conduct
You agree NOT to:
- Use the Platform for any illegal purpose
- Harass, abuse, or harm other users
- Post offensive, threatening, or inappropriate content in chat
- Attempt to manipulate games or exploit system vulnerabilities
- Create multiple accounts to circumvent rules or limits
- Use bots, scripts, or automated tools
- Impersonate other users or Squore staff
8. Intellectual Property
The Squore platform, including its design, features, code, and content, is protected by intellectual property laws. Our proprietary grid algorithms, game modes, and user interface are patent pending.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of our Platform without explicit written permission.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. We do not guarantee:
- Uninterrupted or error-free service
- Accuracy of live scores or game data
- Successful payment processing
- That the Platform will meet your specific requirements
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SQUORE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:
- Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
- Loss of profits, data, or goodwill
- Disputes between players regarding payments or game outcomes
- Technical failures or third-party service interruptions
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Squore, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Platform or violation of these Terms.
12. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
